Lauren Sherman’s practice includes appellate work at the state and federal level, complex civil litigation, representing medical and legal professionals accused of malpractice, and public interest litigation addressing constitutional claims.
A former law clerk of Justice Bolger of the Alaska Supreme Court, Lauren has experience with appellate briefing before both the Alaska Supreme Court and Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. Prior to joining CG&L, Lauren worked on federal civil litigation protecting wildlife and public lands with Trustees for Alaska. She has regularly evaluated complex administrative records, incorporated technical and scientific research into legal arguments, and distilled voluminous records to present compelling claims.
Lauren has a strong background in public interest work and has conducted legal and policy research for city, state, and federal agencies, as well as nonprofits. As a law student, Lauren clerked for the EPA’s Environmental Appeals Board. Before attending law school, Lauren served in the Peace Corps in Peru.
